Udu Legislators Hail Oyibode’s Developmental Strides, Pass Vote of Confidence

The Legislative Arm of Udu Local Government Council, led by the Leader of the House, Hon. Henry Apunu, has again passed a Vote of Confidence on the Executive Chairman of the Council, Olorogun Hon. Vincent Ogheneruemu Oyibode, JP, FCIA.

The resolution was passed during the Council’s plenary session held on Monday, 28th July, 2026 at the Legislative Chamber, Udu Local Government Secretariat, following a comprehensive appraisal of the Chairman’s two years in office.

Speaking on behalf of the House, the Leader, Hon. Henry Apunu, said the Legislative Arm is proud of the Chairman’s dedication and commitment to the Udu cause, as evident in the various people-oriented projects executed within just two years of his administration.

According to him, “The House is indeed proud of your dedication to the Udu cause as it is reflected in the various people-oriented projects you have midwifed so far in just two years of your administration.”

The Legislators commended the Chairman for his strides in infrastructure development, peace building, staff welfare, youth and women empowerment, and for aligning with the M.O.R.E Agenda of His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori.

The House further used the opportunity to appeal to the Council Chairman for the consideration and approval of the Councillors’ 2026 Constituency Projects, provision of working materials for Councillors, and continuous support for legislative activities to enable them deliver more dividends of democracy to their constituents.

In his response, the Executive Chairman, Olorogun Hon. Vincent Oyibode, thanked the Legislative Arm for the confidence reposed in him and pledged to do more for the people of Udu. He assured that their requests would be given due consideration in line with available resources.
